I <3 The Lion King, St. Louis trip gone WiLd!!

Well, let's see it's been a LONG while. But why not start with some exciting weekend with visiting my sis and her boyfriend down in Saint Louis. I have been waiting 4 years to see The Lion King musical again and I just can't help but LOVE it ALL over again.

S0 my mom, dad, and cousin went down on Friday to see this Bastille Festival that was going on near my sister's neighborhood Soulard. They have this mock beheading of King Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette. Well, we were already left late due to an old friend making a surprise visit into town. Well, I thought we would make it not doing any stops and being 8 miles from St. Louis we hit this HUGE traffic jam. Well, to make a long story short, we were in this crappy traffic for 1 hour 30 minutes. Needless to say as a runner I could have RAN faster then where we were and we miss the beheading XP. Finally, when we get to my sister's apartment we are hungry and tired of being in a car. So we walk to get some dinner at this local pizza place.

In the morning we get up and go to the Farmer's Market that is seriously right next to my sister's apartment and it is PACKED. There had to be at least 12 dialects going on, all kinds of food, crafts, all over the place, such a cool thing to experience. Then after some shopping we go to this RootBeer resterant/factory place that makes it own RootBeer in the resterant and you can see the assembly line while your eating made for another neat thing to see, sadly we had to eat fast because we have to be on time for the show.
I knew for the most part what to expect since I saw it my senior year in high school and fell in LOVE with the Lion King musical. I cried in the very beginning, the very FIRST scene 4 years ago and I did it AGAIN yesterday. XD Seriously, it's just awesome, so unbelievably cool, you get so energized, taken back, I really can't describe it the best you just have to go see it. ;) While my mom and I went to see the 2pm performance of the Lion King my dad, cousin, sister, and her boyfriend went to Forest Park and explored some museums. After the show we went back home and I didn't feel too hot, my cousin wanted to go to the pool that is in the apartment complex my sister lives in so after an hour nap and some peanut butter crackers I felt pretty good for a swim. Went down swam for a while and realize a certain new Naruto was on. LOL I know it's sad but hey, I love this arc. The rest of night was watching the cool fireworks by the Arch and then we went to this City museum which was nuts. A huge recycled junkyard of stuff pieced together to this massive maze of randomness. Yes, the places I go just have no real words to describe it, but if you remember the movie Little Monsters with Fred Savage and Howie Mandel, that is EXACTLY what this place reminds me of. We killed ourselves for about 2 hours until I started seeing lightening in the distance and figured this nice three story Faraday cage would not be the safest place to be. So we left around midnight, got back and pasted out.

Today, left my sis, went to the Arch, took my cousin inside the Arch, looked at some new displays, went into the little pods to the top and back, and went home.
